On 8 June 2018 the associate partner of the project, the ensemble of improvised music “Bastarda”, gave a concert in Grudziądz. The musicians presented contemporary re-interpretations of selected compositions by Petrus Wilhelmi de Grudencz. Before the concert Paweł Gancarczyk introduced the listeners to the story of this composer, and explained the various ways in which the music of the past functions in contemporary culture.
The concert was part of the Petrus Wilhelmi Festival of Early Music, and was co-organised by the project “SoundMe”. It was enthusiastically received by the audience, who had the opportunity to ask questions of the musicians and the organisers after the concert.
